Thanks for the kind words, Suvir. I've always had great respect for your work, especially Dévi, perhaps New York's best Indian restaurant.

I appreciate your philosophical approach to the garden and cooking. Anyone interested in Suvir's work can follow his blog or follow him on Twitter.

Thanks for this wonderful post on your great blog.

Rose is the baker of all bakers.
She takes more time than anyone I have ever met thus far in developing a recipe, romancing an idea and being fully ingrained into the recipe, idea and concept.

It is this endless devotion to her craft, to perfection and to honest life and pleasures - that makes Rose a rare gift living in our midst.

I enjoyed visiting your blog and loved your philosophy as mentioned in the about page on your blog.

"One thing Italians and Nebraskans have in common: they can talk for an hour! “Would you look at that beautiful tomato?” I love that about Italian culture and food. There is more celebration about what happens in the garden than any fussiness or over manipulation in the kitchen."

The above excerpt from your bio is beautiful. It says everything meaningful about honest living and celebrating. Fussiness and manipulation sadly have become a major part of our lives, especially in the food industry - but neither guarantee beautiful taste and flavors.

Glad you grew up with the fuss-free, manipulation-free food of your Italian heritage. As someone who grew up with glorious foods cooked with the same philosophy in India, I celebrate your sharing this sentiment.

Wish you great successes in everything you do with your life and food.

Looking forward to coming to your next restaurant and toasting to your talents.

Rose just mentioned on her blog the wonderful pesto pasta she had at your restaurant. It looks exquisite. I'm a big fan of Rose and can appreciate the wonderful experience you had baking from her Pastry Bible. Currently, I'm part of a bake along group (the Heavenly Cake Bakers) where we bake our way through Rose's new book, Rose's Heavenly Cake. It's been a heavenly experience so far :o)
